Ambassador, Pamela Spratlen Chief State Department official, has left the role after six months. Spratlen was appointed by President Joe Biden to oversee diplomats and officials falling ill Havana Syndrome. Havana Syndrome is a series of symptoms that affected U.S. embassy staff in Havana, Cuba in 2016, then later in other parts of the world.
Canadian Election
The Canadian federal election took place to elect the members of the House of Commons. Out of the 338 seats, the liberals earn 159, conservatives 119, Bloc Quebecois 33, New Democratic Party 25, and Green 2.
Lauren Boebert
Rep. Lauren Boebert spent campaign funds on personal expenses. The funds were reported to have been used to pay for rent and utilities at her restaurant in total for about $6,650. Boebert has since paid the fund but still may have to deal with penalties.
