Who Knew YouTube had This?

The internet giant that has captured your attention since 2006 has something new. YouTube has opened a theater in Inglewood, California, where it plans to host live events.

YouTube theater will be able to seat up to 6,000 people. The venue is said to be 227,000 square feet and is a three-story building. Included in the venue are state-of-the-art technology and luxury guest amenities, such as private club areas.

The theater already has a list of events it is hosting. The events will include comedy shows, concerts, esports tournaments, award shows, and more.

The first event is to take place on September 3 with Hollywood Black Comedy Fest. There is an impressive lineup of pop stars such as TLC, Pitbull, Trippe Redd, Devo, and more.

With this physical presence, is YouTube planning to take advantage of this space to boost its’ own services? Maybe YouTube is going to have more exclusive now that the venue is open. It would make sense for YouTube to use the venue to broadcast events on the app.

What else does YouTube plan to do outside of its’ app and website?

In the meantime, it will be interesting to see what else YouTube has planned for the venue and how will they use the theater to promote YouTube and Google.
